Where in Florida can I find this beer? I have been looking for "Fiedlers Bock im Stein" for a long time. Is it available in Florida? Does any one know who the distributor is? Mike |

I too would like to find a distributor for Bock-im-stein. I used to get it at the Super Savers grocery stores out of Lincoln, Ne. They haven't had it for more than 10 years and don't know where it can be found now. I gave my dad some and he was instantly transported back to his childhood in a German township in western Iowa where his grandfather from Germany religiously brewed as he had in the Old Country. BTW, I still have quite a few of the original clay bottles with spring caps if anyone is interested. |

Yes, I used to live in Baton Rouge and we had FIEDLER'S PILS and
FIEDLER'S BOCK, time and again. That was 1993 or 1994, and just one restaurant - but it was in the nice, giant ceramic bottle and I've looked for some years - and short of mailorder I really don't know what store would have them!

My Uncle had a bottle of Bock Im Stein sitting on a shelf for a few years, wy he never opened it I don't know. Then one night after he and I had gone to a local microbrewery he decided to open the Steinkrug. Best beer of the night, and in my opinion, ever. I used to be able to get it through the NH state liquor store. Haven't seen it in several years. Is this even brewed anymore? (I have a bottle that I have been saving for a special ocassion, I better stop thinking about it or today will be special enough.) |
