Latest Sample Date: 1/24/2001
Appearance: Very dark & thick
Additional Info:
Up until 2000, this was the strongest beer in the world, surpassing the long standing champion Samichlaus from Switzerland. You should care for this beer like a port - serve it in a 3oz port glass at room temperature, and re-cork it when you are done. Drinking an entire bottle would be difficult.
Tasting Impressions:
Very very thick and heavy. Super malty. Tastes a lot like maple syrup. Very sweet - sugary taste and feel. Strong alcohol when it goes down. Sweetness on the tip of the tongue. Not even close to a beer; hard to rate. The closest thing I can compare it to is a rough/harsh Tawny Port (which would be much better tasting)
